1. Always use a UK-licensed and regulated pharmacy like MedExpress. Beware of scammers on social media offering treatments that aren't officially available yet, or prices that are too good to be true.
2. Go easy on yourself! Starting a weight loss treatment can seem daunting at first. Plan to make small, incremental changes to your eating habits - making huge changes all at once isn't sustainable.
3. Calorie deficit is the key. Use a website like TDEE Calculator to work out how many calories you should consume for your height, weight and activity level, and simply eat less than that.
4. Water is good for you! None of us drink enough of it, but ditch the sugary drinks and have water instead - it will help with any potential side effects.
5. Protein is important - it helps fuel your body and keeps you feeling fuller for longer, but you don't necessarily need ready-made protein meals all the time.
6. Sleep! Your body does its best work while you are resting, so make sure you get enough of it.
7. Don't panic about the cost of your treatment. It's surprising how much we spend on takeaways and unhealthy snacks every week. The money you save will help to pay for your treatment.
8. You may not feel like drinking alcohol while on your treatment - that's perfectly normal, much healthier, and will save you money too!
9. Don't weigh yourself every day - your body carries more water some days than others, which can affect your results.
10. Use a food or calorie tracking app, like Nutracheck Calorie Counter, so you can see what you're eating and where to make any changes.

"I'm a creature of habit and, to make healthier choices easier and more sustainable, I tend to eat the same things most days, so I don't have to think too much about it, and also so I can retrain my brain that eating food isn't a hobby anymore, just a necessary function of life. That doesn't mean we can't still enjoy it, though, and, as you will see, I can't face a life without chocolate."
